Monthly Step Limit Calculation: A Significant Advancement for Developers

One of the most notable changes in this release is the revision of the monthly step limit calculation. Steps provided by Claris, including those from Claris Apps, utilities, and flow control steps (If-Then, Repeat, Stop, and On Error), no longer count towards the monthly step limit. This change allows developers to create more complex and robust workflows without worrying about exceeding their step limits. It’s worth noting that steps from custom connectors still count toward your monthly step limit.

Claris Studio Connector: Automating User Management

The Claris Studio connector has received a feature upgrade, introducing new triggers and actions that empower developers to automate user management tasks. The addition of the ‘User updated’ trigger allows flows to be initiated when user information changes, enabling real-time responses to user updates.

New actions include:

Anthropic Connector: Harnessing the Power of AI

The Anthropic connector expands Claris Connect's robust AI integration capabilities, joining existing connectors like OpenAI and Google Translate. This addition enables users to leverage Claude, Anthropic's advanced AI, known for its focus on safety, reliability, and natural language understanding.

The connector introduces two powerful actions: Create Message and Create Message Advanced, allowing users to seamlessly incorporate Claude's conversational AI features into their workflows for tasks such as generating context-aware responses, summarising content, or drafting text with precision. For enhanced customisation, Create Message Advanced provides the ability to programmatically input JSON, offering full automation for generating AI-driven messages tailored to your workflows.

Additional Enhancements and Fixes

Several other improvements have been implemented to enhance the user experience and address previous issues:

• The JSON utility’s ‘Convert to JSON format’ action now features an expanded multi-line field for the ‘Text string to convert’, improving usability.

• File size upload limits for Claris Studio and Claris FileMaker connectors have been increased to 100 MB, allowing for larger file transfers.

• Issues with the Microsoft Outlook Mail Received trigger and Quickbooks flow triggering have been resolved.

• The user interface has been refined, with changes to project and step option menus, and the introduction of a separate ‘Step options, rename and delete’ menu for flow steps.
